Black Barley (Stout Roast) Malt
|
Extremely Black (Unmalted). Different and distinctive flavor character from the Black Patent. Use 10-12% to get that distinctive roasted taste. Gives dryness to a Porter or a Stout. Other dark beers also benefit from smaller quantities. An ounce or two causes a deep reddish color and great nuttiness. Larger amounts blend well with caramel and other black malts.
